You can tell when one drops in the course of a long conversation the names of Hans and Henny Jahnn Varlam Schalamow and he did not know them. Jahnn had in the 50's "river without banks" was published, a great trilogy, published by Schalamow last several relentless Gulag stories.
The average citizen needs to know now about the two did not know, but for one in the literature industry people it belongs to the basics - it belonged.

That is the question - is present or past tense, or one, big or small multiplication table? In view of Jahnn and active in the literary staff of the Süddeutsche Zeitung I tend to read yesterday's ST (February 4, 2011), in fact, the past tense. In an article entitled "The do-gooders" by Benjamin Henry *, published on the occasion of the 80th Birthday of Thomas Bernhard on 9 February, we read:

Kirsten Dene quoted: "It is what it is, and it is terrible." Bernhard has been said that first-rate, in all its farm-like simplicity and grandeur, it's not how it is. Not so terrible.

A Bernhard-set? Let's take a brief look into the "Minutes of the Anias Gustav Horn. In May writes he:

And while the increase is taking my eye Wonder, the raids against the weakest of all creatures that is eaten. [...] It is not at fault, the weaker to be. It is fate. And so the pain is concentrated in the scent of spring into it. taste the warm currents of air fade. It is what it is. And it is terrible. And thank God for the blind. Bernhard cited Jahnn - but where? The Google Book Search gives no hits .
