On 20 February was the Frankfurt bull, a bronze animal sculpture ("bull and bear") from Deutsche Börse, symbolically castrated. In a performative action formed from the Hamburg artist Baldur Burwitz the testicles of the bull. The emasculation of Action was intended as an ironic commentary on the international financial crisis. After five minutes, the action by the Security Service of the Stock Exchange was canceled, the artists involved were briefly detained, after some Discussion then let free.
